Reece White, 23, also died in the smash

Emergency services rushed to Toddington Road, Tebworth, following the smash at around 3.20pm – but tragically Ellie, from Leighton Buzzard, and Reece, from Luton were both declared dead at the scene.

Jordan White was driving his black Vauxhall Corsa at the time of the crash, which is still being probed by cops.

He appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court today, charged with death by dangerous driving.

The 19-year-old is also accused of driving without a valid licence.

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “Jordan White, aged 19 years, of Leighton Buzzard, appeared before Luton Magistrates’ Court today charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing death while uninsured to drive and two counts of causing death without a valid licence.”

“He was also charged with failing to stop at the scene of the incident.”

White was remanded in custody and will appear on February 28 at Luton Crown Court.

In a heartbreaking tribute, Ellie’s family described her as “beautiful”, reports BedfordshireLive.

“The loss of our beautiful Ellie is Heaven’s gain,” they said.

“We are so grateful for the time we had with her.

“Words cannot express the sadness of not being able to spend just one more minute with her. Love you Ellie.”

Reece’s family said: “We are devastated at the loss of Reece. He was a much loved son, brother and grandson.

“He made an impression on everyone he met and leaves a hole in the family that will never be filled. He will be missed forever.”
