Boris vows to save high streets with rates cut after listening to voices of Brexit voters
BORIS JOHNSON last night unveiled an ambitious package of measures aiming to save Britain’s ailing high streets and revive struggling towns and villages. In a fresh general election pledge, the Prime Minister vowed to slash business rates for shops, cinemas and pubs as part of a drive to revitalise shopping centres battling to compete with online and out-of-town retail giants.
