The President returns Churchill's bust to the Oval office

Donald Trump has returned a bust of Winston Churchill to the Oval Office. The bust was removed by his predecessor Barack Obama in 2009.

Nigel Farage was the first British politician to meet with Donald Trump

Recently, in a meeting with Mr Trump, Nigel Farage suggested the bust be returned upon Mr Trump becoming president. Trump agreed and is clearly a man of his word.

As Trump was signing a series of executive orders at the Resolute desk.
Journalists first spotted that the bust had been placed back in the room on Friday.

It was within his first few days as President that Obama moved the bust out of sight into the White House residence. Obama later installed separate busts of Martin Luther King Jr. and President Lincoln in its place.

A spokesperson for British Government confirmed last week that Trump had personally asked if Britain would loan the bust of Churchill to the U.S. once he took office.
