Local Elections Postponed for a Year

Boris has announced the May elections – mayoral, local and Police and Crime Commissioner- will be delayed for a whole year, until May 2021. The move follows yesterday’s request by the Electoral Commission to do so as they would have coincided with the peak of the outbreak. Postponing elections when the Tories are polling at 50% is putting country before party. Not that Boris will get any credit for it.
