AMY Childs has vowed to take on Boris Johnson when she visits Downing Street later this month.

The Towie legend is campaigning to make medical cannabis more accessible on the NHS after seeing the positive effects it can have on those suffering seizures.

Amy has been working hard for the past few years to make her dream a reality after seeing the wonders the drug has had on young Jorja Emerson.

Her dad Robin spent thousands on treatment after she was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy and told by doctors nothing else could be done to help her condition.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, mum-of-two Amy said: “We really want medical cannabis to be on the NHS.

“When we go to Downing Street in early summer this is what we want to achieve.

“We are going to try and speak to Boris and I am going to tell him how I feel.”

The passionate star continued: “Robin and I are doing this together.

“There are children now that are in the same situation but the family has no money. I think we should be really positive about this.”

Admitting she believes she can get through to the PM, Amy continued: “I haven’t seen him before. I’ve not seen him down the Sugar Hut.

“I know he’s the Prime Minister and I get that but I feel so strongly about the campaign.

“I want to help other children not to have to go through this. I know what to say. I am very positive and very confident we can make a change. “

As well as her trip to Number 10, Amy has also set up a public petition calling for the nation to get behind the cause,

Amy first found fame as one of the original cast members on ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex in 2010.

Since then she had gone on to become one of the nation’s most recognisable reality TV stars.

However, she insists she’s not put off by the stigma that she’s little more than yet another wannabe looking for five minutes in the spotlight.

Amy said: “The thing is with me, yes, TOWIE has given me a platform but even before TOWIE I had a really good job.

“Then after TOWIE had had my own business and various ranges.

“Like I said to Robin, my platform now is to help Jorja and to try and make a change.

“People may think I am a reality star  but I am doing everything I can do to make it perfect for us all.”

Amy has also teamed up with Robin and Jorja to release a range of products focusing on CBD oil via Jorja Botanicals.

The range includes essential oils, lip balms, soothing creams and bath oils.

“We really want to get across the message about what CBD can do for you and how relaxing it can be.

“A percentage of the profits will go to The Jorja Foundation which helps children like Jorja who are in need but can’t afford the treatment. Hopefully we can get it on the NHS soon.”
