After wading through piles of Union Jacks and red and white bunting, we’ve rounded up the three major bonuses coming your way.
In honour of the Monarch’s marvellous achievement, a variety of events and initiatives are taking place throughout the year.
But the icing on the cake comes in the form of a four-day weekend, kicking off on June 2.
And Brits across the country are pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s a weekend to remember.

PUB’S OPEN LATE
To ensure punters can have a right royal knees up, pubs and clubs will stay open for an extra two hours over the Platinum Jubilee weekend.
Licencing hours will be extended from 11pm to 1am from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 June in England and Wales.
Patriotic patrons will be able to toast the Queen into the small hours after Home Secretary Priti Patel utilised a special law to extend drinking hours in an event of “exceptional national significance”.
Boris Johnson cheered the booze bonanza and said it would also give a helping hand to struggling landlords.
The PM’s official spokesman said: “We know how hard hit our hospitality industry was during the pandemic and it’s great that we not only get to support Her Majesty but our hard-hit hospitality industry.”
So get yourself – and your wallets – ready for a four-day fiesta in the sunshine.

BUMPER BANK HOL
As well as gifting Brits with an extra Bank Holiday this year, The Queen went one better by making it a four-day weekend.
The bumper break will be jam-packed with royal events to commemorate the Monarch’s 70 years on the throne.
Kicking off the long weekend on June 2 will be the Queen’s Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour, followed by a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on the Friday.
And the festivities continue well into the weekend, with a Platinum Party and the Palace and a Big Jubilee Lunch.
Street parties and free celebrations at the Sandringham and Balmoral estates ensure Brits can get right in on the action.
Buckingham Palace said the extra-long weekend will provide “an opportunity for communities throughout the United Kingdom to come together and celebrate the historic milestone”.
PARTY AT THE PALACE
The Queen’s wealth of experience means she certainly knows how to throw a party – and Brits are in for a brilliant show on the Saturday.
Millions of people will tune into the live concert hosted by the BBC on June 4, as well as an in-person audience of 10,000 people.
Boasting three stages and 3D-projections across the face of the palace, it’s certainly shaping up to be a party to remember.
The star-studded extravaganza will bring together some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars to celebrate.
