All the best deals for families dining out this August including kids eat free at Tesco and Morrisons

FAMILIES looking for cheap ways to keep the children fed this summer can take advantage of loads of great restaurant and supermarket deals.

From kids eat free at Asda, Tesco and Morrisons to deals at Pizza Hut, Hungry Horse and Farmhouse Inns, there’s loads of options available on a budget.

Finding what’s available can be tricky, so to make life as easy as possible we’ve rounded up all the best bargains:

Tesco – save £2.85 per child

Until September 1, kids under 16 can eat for free at Tesco cafes, as long as an accompanying adult spends £3.50 or more.

Kids can opt for a Pick and Mix deal, where they get any main plus one vegetable a side and a drink for £2.85.

There’s also all sorts of hot food on offer including Mac and Cheese, sausages, chicken goujons, fish fingers, cheesy pizza.

Sides and vegetables on the menu include sweetcorn, peas, veg sticks, baked beans, carrot and swede mash, jacket potato, sweet potato fries, chunky chips and garlic bread.

Drinks are limited to milk, water or juice.

You can also get breakfast items such as little eggs, beans or avocado on toast. You can browse the full menu here.

Morrisons – save up to £3 per child

Morrisons is offering a free children’s meal with every adult meal worth £4.50 or more.

The offer is in place until September 5, and is available in its cafés from 3pm to closing time every day. To take advantage, your children need to be under 16.

The kids meals must be chosen from the kids café menu or a chilled kids snack pack.

The hot menu includes Mac and Cheese with garlic bread, fish goujons, chips and peas and crispy chicken with chips and slaw.

There’s also beans or eggs on toast available as part of the all-day breakfast.

The kids meals come with a piece of fruit and a Tropicana Kids Orange or Apple drink or a bottle of water. You can browse the full menu here.

Asda – save up to £3 per child

Kids under 16 at Asda can eat free all through August as long as the adults spend at least £4.

It’s one free meal per paying adult, so if you have more than one child you’ll need more than one adult to get both meals free.

The menu items include a pizza pie, battered chicken chunks and pasta bolognese.

The offer also includes a Pick N Mix box, where children can choose up to five items.

Beefeater and Brewers Fayre

Kids eat free at both Beefeater and Brewers Fayre restaurants when adults buy the unlimited breakfasts.

There are two options available, unlimited continental for £7.50 or unlimited cooked for £9.50.

Adults can also enjoy unlimited drinks from a selection of tea, coffee and fruit juices.

The breakfast is available for everyone, not just those staying at Premier Inn locations and is served until 10:30am midweek and 11am at the weekend.

Hungry Horse – save £2.29

All through the summer holidays, Hungry Horse restaurants are offering every child a free breakfast when accompanied by a paying adult.

The brekkies are available from 8am to 12pm until September 1 in England and Wales and August 18 in Scotland.

There’s a maximum of one kids’ breakfast per each adult breakfast and the grown ups need to spend at least £2.99 to get the deal.

The Real Greek – save £6.75

Kids eat free on Sundays at the Real Greek, getting a kids meal, drink and an ice cream or sorbet.

There’s one free kids meal per adult, and the grown up needs to spend at least £10 to qualify.

Children have two main meal options, either a souvlaki wrap or a meze selection.

The offer is available for all kids under 12 and is dine in only.

Farmhouse Inns – save up to £3.79.

Your kids won’t eat for free at Farmhouse Inns, but you can get them a meal for just £1 from a wide range of choices.

The deal is available from Monday to Friday throughout the summer holidays.

To get the most bang for your buck, you’ll want to choose a carvery, which normally costs £4.79 on a weekday.

Otherwise, you can choose from a small breakfast or any kid’s meal.

Each adult who buys either a breakfast, main meal or carvery can get up to two kids meals for £1.

The offer runs until September 3 in England and Wales and August 16 in Scotland.

Sizzling Pubs – save up to £2.49

Sizzling pubs is also offering a free kids meal for just £1 with every adult meal purchased.

There’s lots of choice, from from fish fingers and toad in the hole, to pasta, chicken wraps, pizza and quorn nuggets.

Normally a kids main would cost you £3.49 for over-5s and £2.49 for under fives. Each main comes with a side and a veg.

The deal is available from Monday to Friday, between 3pm and 7pm.

Bella Italia – save up to £6.99

You can feed your children for a quid at Bella Italia too, but you’ll need to enter your email address to get a code.

It’s valid from until September 5, every day except for Saturdays.

To get the offer, you’ll need to order a full price main from the A La Carte menu.

There’s a Piccolo Menu for £5.99, which Bella Italia says is perfectly portioned for 2-6 year olds and a Grande Menu at £7.99 for 7-11 year olds

Marstons Pubs – save around £3.75

Kids can eat for just £1 at Marstons Pubs from Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays.

The offer applies to Kids main meals only and excludes meal deals. Menus can vary but typical offerings include chicken dippers, sausages, veggie sausages, burgers and fish fingers.

These are served with sides such as chips, mash, beans, peas and carrots.

The offer is available for up to two children when dining with a full paying adult. Pricing varies but menus we found showed a child’s main as costing £4.75.

Crown Carveries

Your kids can eat for a quid on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays at Crown carvery.

There’s no voucher to print off and bring with you, just drop in and choose from the carvery menu.

There’s one free kids meal per accompanying adult, and you need to order a roast or pub classic meal to get it.
