The REAL Spice Girls bus from Spice World the Movie is now a holiday home on the Isle Of Wight – you can stay from £78pp

THIS week marks the 25th anniversary of the Spice Girls’ debut single “Wannabe” – released on June 26, 1996.

What better way to celebrate than with a stay in the Union Jack double decker bus that featured in the 1997’s Spice World movie.

The bus then travelled around the UK as part of the SpiceUp exhibition and was then stationed outside Wembley Park when the band embarked on a reunion tour

Since then, it has been transformed into a holiday let on the Isle Of Wight, and is available through Holiday Pirates from £78pp a night.

Though the exterior of the bus kept its original Union Jack paint from the film, the inside has been refurbished while maintaining a nod to its origins.

Spice Girls-inspired features include pink Union Jack cinema chairs, a “Girl Power” neon light installation, animal print and disco balls.

The bus can sleep up to three people and also features a TV, a kitchenette area and private toilet facilities located just outside the bus.

The accommodation is located on the Isle Of Wight’s Island Harbour Marina, with an onsite bar, restaurant and a small shop available nearby.

HolidayPirates offers a one-night self-catered stay from £78pp, based on three adults sharing.

Spice Girls fans have raved about their stays on the bus, especially a box containing dressing up outfits, old Spice Girls’ albums and the Spice World DVD.

One previous guest called Jo said: “A once in a lifetime chance to bring back childhood memories and make new ones. We loved every second of it! Bring all your spice girl themes props and costumes and you’ll have the best time!”

Another called Tiffany said: “This bus was amazing. We just returned from a weekend on the spice bus and was not at all disappointed. The interior of the bus was well thought and took me back to my teenage years of being a spice girl fan!

“We loved the little touches left on the bus for guests from dress up!to a selection of 90’s classics CDs. We even made use of the spice world dvd.”

A guest called Louisa added: “A dream stay for any Spice Girls fan! The bus is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and filled with 90’s memorabilia (boom box with their albums inside, scrunchies, old smash hits magazines, disco balls, outfits to dress up in!).”
