FAIR AND BALANCED: Gov’t Could Hand BBC Director Gig To Murdoch’s Daughter

THE BIASED BBC could soon be getting a dose of the Fox News treatment as the Government moots giving the Director-general job to Rupert Murdoch’s daughter.

In a move to send chills down the spines of the Guardianista establishment at the corporation Downing Street reportedly sees the move as a golden opportunity to ‘get their own back’ on the pro-EU BBC by handing the top job to Elisabeth Murdoch.

Murdoch’s News Corp that owns The Sun, The Times and Fox News could soon have a Murdoch at the BBC – and could silence long-running criticism of the BBC licence fee by Murdoch papers.

Ms Murdoch who started her own TV production company ‘Shine’ was behind massive telly successes such as Hunted, Masterchef, Broadchurch and Mary Berry cooking programmes and Sky 1’s Got To Dance could soon get the top job.

The i-newspaper reported that Elisabeth, 51 “supports the BBC licence fee” but wants the BBC to show “how efficiently that funding is being spent on actual content”.
